Mickey Smith developed his eye for subtle beauty from an early age, photographing the Atlantic ocean as a child in Cornwall. His photographic career has yielded 60+ cover shots in publications worldwide.
His time spent filming big waves lead to his massive success with the short film ‘Darkside of the Lens’. In January 2016 Vimeo listed the film in their top 10 films ever, and it has also won multiple awards.
Meanwhile, Mickey’s life as a musician has seen him scoring films, collaborating on the last Ben Howard album, and playing some of the world’s largest stadia including the main stage at Glastonbury.
His beautiful observational style has been brought to films for Asics, Finisterre, Island Records, Universal, Warner Music and Xtreme Channel.
A real life Rock ‘n Roll Renaissance man.
